The D4 Defender Series is the ideal 2” wide caster solution for customers requiring lasting performance and corrosion resistance. Manufactured from Type 304 stainless steel, this series provides critical defense to applications exposed to washdowns, cleaning agents, steam, caustic solutions, and other environmental conditions that eventually cause oxidation and failure in standard casters.
- Constructed of highly polished, corrosion resistant stainless steel (304 Grade
- ¾" 304 Stainless steel permanent rivet kingpin for long swivel life
- Top plate and legs formed from ¼" thick stainless steel for durability
- Legs precision welded to yoke for strength
- Double stainless steel ball bearing raceways (with zerk) formed smooth for ease of swiveling
- Food grade -40°F to 600°F performance grease (FDA approved)
- ½" diameter 304 stainless steel zerk axle standard; solid axle available by special order
- NSF listed

Nylon White
White Nylon wheels are economical, strong, and clean. These injection-molded white nylon wheels are ideal for clean rooms and applications that need wash-downs. This economical solutions provides maximum ergonomic performance, rolling and swiveling with great ease. Each wheel can withstand a wide range of temperatures – perfect to help maintain cleanliness through frequent washings.
Maxim Nylon Glass
HD Nylon Glass Filled
Glass-filled Nylon wheels feature an exclusive, ultra tough thermoplastic compound that resists hard impacts and drop-shocks. The wheel is impervious to most chemicals, solvents, salts, gases, alkalines and steam cleaning and does not absorb water. When compared to other hard tread wheels, these Glass-filled Nylon wheels require less force to roll and swivel. It is ideal for many industrial and institutional applications and is NSF listed for the food service industry. The wheel is non-marking.
Commander HD
The Commander HD wheel is perfected for superior performance under heavy loads (2,000-7,200 lbs. each) and abusive impacts. Critical applications for this wheel include: die carts, engine hoists, ground support equipment and much more. The unique and durable Nylatron® wheel material provides floor protection where steel, iron or phenolic wheels do not. The wheel’s tread resists moisture and most chemicals, making it suitable for corrosive environments. The slightly crowned tread profile provides better mobility than flat tread wheels.
Thermo Hi-Temp
Thermo wheels feature a standard operating temperature range from -70°F (continuous service) to +525°F (intermittent service, +480°F continuous service). These wheels are molded from an exclusive engineered resin compound that offers non-marking floor protection, near zero water absorption, high load capacities and long service life.

Polyurethane Hi-Tech
Industrial strength polyurethane tread is bonded to a “ribbed” polyolefin core. This design adds strength for loads subjected to shock and hard impacts. Tread is molded in, around and through a ribbed extension of the core to prevent debonding. Standard colors are maroon tread on grey core. Not recommended for conditions of continuous operation such as towline, etc.
Eagle Polyurethane
Eagle wheel is suited for a wide range of industrial applications and can withstand load capacities of 600 to 1,200 lbs. This wheel’s unique, interlocking polyurethane tread on heavy duty polypropylene core offers superior adhesion for medium to heavy duty weight capacities.
Endura Solid Elastomer
Designed specifically for highcapacity manual applications involving chemicals, solvents or water. Low rolling resistance provides the ergonomic qualities you demand. One-piece construction affords freedom from tread separation with an exceptionally long life. Non-marking, floor protective tread.
K Solid Polyurethane
Phenolic
This phenolic resin wheel is filled with macerated fabric and is quieter than steel or aluminum, while providing superior floor protection. It is resistant to hard impacts, most chemicals and steam. The standard color is black.
Phenolic Hi-Temp
This phenolic resin wheel is filled with macerated fabric and is quieter than steel or aluminum, while providing superior floor protection. It is resistant to hard impacts, most chemicals and steam. The standard color is black.
Performa Flat
Performa wheels offer the advantages of both hard and soft tread materials in a single wheel. Like a hard tread wheel, Performa rolls easily and is very durable. Like a soft tread wheel, it rolls quietly, protects floors and resists impacts with a cushion ride. It also features maximum weatherability, low temperature flexibility, resistance to chemicals, water and steam, and rejects floor debris such as metal shavings. Non-marking thermoplastic elastomer tread is permanently bonded to ribbed polyolefin wheel core.
Performa Flat Conductive
Many computer manufacturers and electronics companies require conductive wheels on assembly carts to eliminate static build-up and discharge. Although conductive caster wheels have existed for years, almost all of them mark floors. Colson has solved this problem with our selection of Performa Conductive Wheels. These models combine a soft cushion ride with a nonmarking tread design. All wheels feature a cushion grey Performa tread bonded to a black Polyolefin wheel core.

Polyolefin
This hard tread polyolefin wheel is light weight, offers non-marking floor protection, and resists hard impacts. Very light in weight, yet the impact strength for this wheel is far superior to hard rubber wheels. It offers superior resistance to most oils, chemicals, grease, solvents and acids. Fit for light and medium duty applications. The standard color is black.
Retort Hi-Temp
Designed to withstand the rigors of high temperatures, Retort wheels are perfect for cooker racks and retort carts. Also ideal for use in food processing and medical applications where high-heat cleaning or sanitation is required.
