XS X-tra Soft Rubber Wheels

X-tra Soft Rubber Wheels are among the market’s most superior soft tread wheels. Competitors from around the world have continually attempted to copy this innovative and unique wheel since its release. Don’t be fooled by their knock-offs. X-tra Soft is the original, and is made in the USA. X-tra Soft wheels offer the benefits of both hard and soft treads. Like hard treads, the wheel rolls easily and is extremely durable. Like a soft tread wheel, it rolls quietly, protecting floors and resisting impacts. X-tra Soft wheels have maximum weatherability, low temperature flexibility, and are resistant to chemicals, water, and steam. These wheels easily reject floor debris, such as metal shavings. Our proprietary thermoplastic elastomer tread material is permanently bonded to a ribbed polyolefin core. The tread is non-marking, which helps keep your factory floors clean. The flat tread XS wheel provides increased capacities and more floor contact than its XR counterpart.

VL Cast Iron V-Groove

Wheel face and “V”-groove are machined from heavy duty cast iron. A relief groove at the base of the “V” tends to equalize the load to each face of the angle track when in operation. Wheel face and bore are machined for concentricity to proper tracking. These wheels can be used not only on track but flat surfaces as well. VL wheels feature a larger bore for greater capacity.

FH Drop Forged Steel

Drop Forged Steel wheels are hot-forged from carbon steel billets. The forging process improves grain flow, enhances ductility and tensile strength. FH wheels are suitable for high capacity, abusive applications. Drop Forged Steel has 64,000 psi tensile strength.

FH wheels feature a larger bore and higher load capacities than FS wheels.

MR Rubber on Cast Iron

Mold-on cushion rubber treads are vulcanized to cast iron cores. The soft rubber tread affords a cushion effect to the load. These wheels are highly shock-absorbing and provide quiet operation, while dampening vibration.

NG Maxim Nylon

Albion's Maxim® wheel delivers maximum performance and an economical solution for your most demanding caster applications. With a focus on ergonomics, this advanced wheel starts rolling, keeps rolling and swivels with ease! The innovative nylon and fiberglass construction stands up to solvents, extreme temperatures and high load capacities. Maxim wheels won’t absorb moisture!

PB Polypropylene

This wheel is an injection molded blend of thermoplastic polymers which resist absorption and are resistant to most chemicals and solvents. Capacity ratings are comparable to hard rubber wheels with the added advantage of being lighter in weight and having greater impact resistance.

FL Flanged Cast Iron

Flanged caster wheels utilize floor tracking to help keep casters and carts traveling safely in a continuous, straight line. Cast Iron is a robust, high-capacity wheel material. Various bore sizes are available for FL series wheels for use as plain bore wheels or to be used with keyway and set screw or with a variety of bearings. This cast iron wheel offers 30,000 psi tensile strength.

SF Pneumatic Rubber

Full Pneumatic (SF) are recommended for the greatest possible protection to both loads and floors. If you transport fragile materials or parts, or if you move delicate instruments over rough floors, you should consider a pneumatic tire. Full pneumatics cushion the load on air, just like an automobile. They must be properly inflated as indicated in wheel table. These tires can be filled with urethane foam to make them deflation proof, but foam has no effect on capacity. Suitable for extended service.
